Rainbow - Week 10 - In Every House in Every Street

This week our focus has been about houses. We have been looking at different types of houses, and talking about what their houses look like. The children have shared about their favourite room in their house and why. We seem to have lots of children who love their bedrooms as it is where their toys are, or the kitchen because they can get food!

In forest school, we spoke about names of houses for different animals. We spoke about what sort of animals there might be in our forest school. We then went to the forest to see what homes we could find. We found lots of holes that we thought some animals might be living in.

Our Drawing Club has been based on an animation called Trap Door. The children were very enthusiastic about this one, completing some great work. Some of the children made their own monsters from playdough, drew their own monsters, and even made their own trap door.

In Maths we have been looking at how a whole of something is made up of many parts.

In Phonics, we covered the sounds for 'b' 'f' and 'ff', and learnt the tricky words 'the' 'no' and 'go'

In RE, we have been learning about Mary, and finding out how she is special because she was chosen by God to have Jesus.
