Rainbow - Week 14 - The Nativity

What a busy week it has been!

In Drawing Club, our book has been 'Not now Bernard'. The children had great fun coming up with ideas how the monster could get rid of the taste of Bernard after he had eaten him! Our favourite word this week has been 'fierce' and the children showed us their most fierce faces!

In Maths, the focus has been 4 sided shapes. We explored making different shapes out of a square and we searched for 4 sided shapes in the environment. 

In phonics, we have been recapping all the sounds and tricky words we have learnt. Please look at Google classroom to go over these with your children at home. We have been working hard at segmenting (sounding out) words to help us write words. 

In RE, we have been looking at the Nativity. The children made some lovely Nativity crafts. The children also enjoyed going to see year 2 do their Nativity play. 

On Thursday, Santa came to visit us in the big playground. The children were extremely excited to see him.
