Rainbow - Week 3 - Librarians

We have had such a lovely week.

The highlight was having our trip to the library. The children had so much fun learning so many facts about the library; it is free to join the library, you can borrow up to 30 books at a time and there are over 30,000 books in the library, half of them being for children. A lot of the children were saying that they want to go to the library again! A big thank you to Maria and Anna's Mum who came with us.

The children enjoyed bringing in their favourite books and telling us all about them. There were some really funny books!

In Drawing Club we watched Bananaman as our focus animation. The children had to think of what Dr Gloom would turn Ben into and they had to think of where Bananaman could hide his bananas. The children have been practising writing simple 'He can...' sentences. Our favourite word for this week has to be victorious.

In Maths, we have been looking at  ordering and matching quantities from 1 to 5 with numerals. We have noticed that as we built the quantities with cubes that it looks like a staircase, as you add 1 cube each time.

In RE, we spoke about what is needed to live and not what we necessarily want. We also shared ideas on how we can help others to survive, and we read the story of the Good Samaritan.

We were not able to go to Forest School this week as it was super windy, so was therefore unsafe.

A reminder that next Wednesday is our Stay and Read session, we hope to see as many of you as possible
