Rainbow - Week 3 - My Mum

It has been another lovely week!

In Literacy we have been thinking about why our Mum's are special. We put some of the ideas shared from the children and put it into a poem. In RE, we spoke about how we know that our Mums/Dads/Families love us and how we also know that God loves us too. The children have enjoyed looking at their reflection in the mirror placed on the prayer table, and have used this to create self portrait paintings.

In Maths we have been learning ways to count 1:1 successfully. We know that we count one object once and the last number we count, is how many we have.

In Phonics, we have learnt the sounds s a t. The children had fun sorting objects and pictures into the right sound categories. They also practised forming the letters on giant paper. Please remember to log into google classroom for the homework.

Also a big thank you to those who were able to come to the welcome service Friday morning. The Rainbow children did excellent, I'm very proud of them, and we are thankful for our Year 5 for helping us.
