Rainbow - Week 4 - Superhero Dad

In Literacy, we read 'Superhero Dad' and the children chose a family member to turn into a superhero, and they told us why they were their superhero. They had some lovely suggestions!

In Phonics, we have learnt the sounds for p i and n, as well as recapping s a t. The children had great fun practicing forming those letters in flour and shaving foam!

In Maths, we have been looking at the composition of number, looking at how many ones there are in 2 and 3. The children were sent on a task in the classroom, to make a collection of 3. We discovered that the items didn't have to be the same to be a collection of 3!

In Religious Education, we spoke about God's love for us. We talked about how our differences didn't matter, because God loves all of us! The children had great fun, talking about their family photos.

In Forest School, we played 'I spy' and the children were sent off on a mission to find different things and to bring them back to the log circle.

In PE, we were making high and low movements. Rolling on the grass was a favourite low movement for the children. They also enjoyed working in pairs making their material go high in the sky, or low next to the grass.

We hope you like our self portraits, we have some displayed in our window, and some in our home corner.

Hope you have a lovely weekend, see you on Monday.
