Rainbow - Week 7 - The Supermarket

The topic this term is Ready Steady Grow and we started it off by thinking all about the supermarket. All the children were able to go to Asda in small groups to have a look around, answer questions and buy some yummy snacks!

In Forest School we had a look for signs of Spring, we noticed a few buds, but we think Spring has not yet sprung, especially with it being still so cold!

In Maths we were thinking about how we can make up numbers, the composition of numbers. We know that 6 is made of 5 and 1 more, and that 7 is made of 5 and 2 more.

The Drawing Club this week has been ‘The Giant Jam Sandwich.’ We even made some of our own jam sandwiches which the children loved. Some of the children chose to have some bread that Mr Markowizc made, which was a sour bread loaf, they said it was very yummy!

We are still learning about Lent in RE. The children had to think about what they would find the hardest to go without. We had quite a range of different things, ranging from food, to Irish Dancing, to their toys.
