Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Our story for topic and Drawing Club this week is Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

The children are loving the traditional tales and we are reading lots of different versions. They had a go at hot seating again and can act out the story with the props in the roleplay kitchen. A few of us are still struggling with writing our sentences independently so we are working on repeating our sentence until we know exactly what we need to write.

In Forest School we built bug hotels.

In maths this week we are thinking about the composition of 5 and numbers that are 5 and some more. We know that we have 5 fingers on a hand and we can use our fingers to help find a missing number.

In Religious Education we  continue to learn about the Church.

Our PE was outside this week and our word was under, we found lots of different ways to move under.

In phonics we are beginning to recap all the digraph sounds, we are trying to build confidence reading and writing the sounds.
