Sunshine Week 7 - The Supermarket

Week 7 - The Supermarket

Our topic this term is Ready Steady Grow and we started it off by thinking about the supermarket. All the children went to Asda in small groups to have a look around, answer some questions and buy some tasty snacks.

The weather has been very changeable, we went on a hunt for signs of spring in Forest school. There were a few signs but we decided that Spring is not quite here yet!

In maths we were thinking about the composition of numbers. We know that 6 is made of 5 and 1 more and 7 is made of 5 and 2 more. We also thought about 1 more and 1 less.

Our drawing Club book was ‘The Giant Jam Sandwich’ - the children had fun thinking of different ways to trap the wasps. Our writing is getting much better and we are trying to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!

In Religious Education we continued to learn about lent. The children had to think about what they would find it hardest to go without. It was interesting that over 50% of the children said they couldn’t go without their tablet / laptop / computer games.
