Week 5 - Lost and Found

Lost and Found

Our book this week was about a little boy and a penguin. The little boy was a very good friend to the penguin. We spent some time talking about what makes a good friend.

The children have been making faces out of natural objects, both in the classroom and out in the grounds.

In Maths we have been subitising again. We are getting very good at using our fingers to show what amount of dots we have seen.

There are photographs of 2 PE lessons, one with Mrs Harvey-Smith where we used the scarfs to help us move based on the words 'high' and 'low'. The other is with the PE coaches where we were doing some excellent jumping.

As part of Religious Education we have been talking and learning about baptism. The children acted out a baptism. I asked the children to ask their parents if they had been baptised and to see if there are any photographs for them to look at.

We have continued to work on our phonics, this week with letters m and d.
