The School Day

Woods Avenue is a very busy road at the beginning and end of the school day. In agreement with local schools we all operate a "soft start" to the school day.

This means that the school gates are opened by 8.30 am

Reception - Year 6

The classroom doors are opened by 8.40am, to encourage children to be in their classrooms and settled by the start of the school day at 8.45am.

Punctuality is very important and children are expected to be in their classrooms for registration at 8.45am. Late arrivals (after 8.45am) must be signed in at the school office.

The school day finishes for all pupils at 3.15pm

The school week is 32.5 hours.
