The Three Billy Goats Gruff
Due to the Bank Holiday and the unfortunate closure for the flood it has been a very short week. We have managed to squeeze in all the learning that we had planned for the week but this means there has been less time for learning through play.
The children wrote descriptive sentences about the troll in Literacy.
In Maths we have been thinking about number bonds to 10 using a ten dice frame, our fingers and using counters. In Religious Education we have been think of the special gift of joy and peace that Jesus gave to the disciples and that he gives to us.
We have noticed that some of the children are going backwards in their reading, this is very concerning - we are trying to give them extra opportunities to read at school but please ensure you read at home daily.
Our caterpillars have all transformed now, they are in the chrysalis stage. We are looking forward to the exciting butterfly stage!
