17th-21st October - Iam Special / I am good at...

This week we had the story 'The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water'. We found out that he didn't like water because he wasn't actually a crocodile .. he was a dragon. Crocodiles are good at swimming but dragons are good at making fire. We made badges to show what we are good at.

In our Religious Education we continued to think about the fact that God made us and made each one of us special. We spent some time thinking about animal habitats and learned about where a squirrel, a beaver and a wild rabbit live. In Forest School we made houses / habitats for our farm and zoo animals.

In maths we have been thinking about 4 and patterns we can make with four. The children are getting really good at representing numbers up to 5 with their fingers.

On Wednesday Reception attended their first Mass at school and sat very well - we were all very proud of them.
