21st - 25th Nov - In Every House, on Every Street

In Every House, on Every Street

The book was the same this week, we have continued to use vocabulary to name the different rooms in our houses. This week we had to think about our  favourite rooms and draw them. The children were also asked to try and write initial sounds or more if they could.

Maths this week was all about parts and wholes and we used jigsaw puzzles as an illustration. We found out lots of the children really struggle to do puzzles so we will be getting the jigsaws out more often!

Forest School was a bit colder and muddier than previously but we all had our wellies on and had lots of fun making animal homes.

Our theme for Religious Education continued to be helping one another as a way to show our love for God. We have had some very helpful children, especially those whoe have been helping others to zip their coats. The children made split pin bears, they were tricky and they needed to ask for help or help one another but the children showed great perseverance.

Our display in the hall is up and looking very festive. You will get to see it if you come to the fete next Friday.

We finished the week with some creativity, the children have been making colourful houses - and boy are they colourful!
