26th-30th September - Our Superhero Families

Our Superhero Families

Wow what a busy week we have had! At the beginning of the week we were learning our songs for the welcome service and practising with our buddies. I was very proud of the children at the Welcome service, they remembered to sing and to sit beautifully. Miss Aitken joined us this week. She is a PGCE student and will be with us until Christmas and then will be back for the Summer Term.

We have been reading 'Super Hero Dad' and we talked about our own families and what they might do that make them a super hero. We drew pictures and explained why we thought they were a superhero. The children made friendship bracelets, we had a pirate theme for our PE and had the apparatus out. and in our maths we have still been working on 1,2,3. Our Religious Education was all about caring for the world that God created and we sorted through some 'rubbish' to see how we could recycle or reuse it. We also went out in the grounds to litter pick and sweep.
