6th - 9th December - Harold and The Purple Crayon

Harold and the Purple Crayon

It has only been a 4 day week but we have managed to be productive. It is beginning to feel a bit more Christmassy and the frost at the end of the week has caused lots of excitement. We are all hoping for just a little snow.

I'm afraid we have not been as good at taking photographs this week.

In Forest School the children were building dens  - you can see in the photographs that both classes went to the forest together and had lots of fun.

This week in our maths we have been composing and decomposing sets of 3,4 and 5. The children are getting very good at this and we are using the language of parts and the whole.

In Literacy we read the story of Harold and the Purple Crayon and the children worked in pairs to take their coloured crayon on a journey to tell a story.

In Religious Education we have been continuing to listen to, recall and retell the Nativity story, the children are still enjoying dressing up as the characters.
