A glimpse at this weeks learning!

Week 8 - Exciting news! Today we met our Year 6 buddies.Together we explored the forest, looking at leaves and the different trees we have. This week we read a book called 'The Last tree in the City', we know trees are very important to our world.

Week 7 Forest School Maths - we were looking at long and short. During forest school we looked for different sized sticks and then described them using words like, long, short, longer, shorter.

Week 7 - Literacy - Today we read 'Goldilocks and The Three Bears'. Some of us made puppets and retold the story, others made story books and some made maps of where Goldilocks went. We had lots of fun practising our literacy skills!

Week 6 EAD and Forest School: Today we read 'The Three Little Pigs', then had a go at building our own houses. In Forest School we talked about where wild animals live and the names of their homes. We worked in pairs to build homes for animals using materials found in the forest.

Expressive Arts and Design (EAD) and Understanding of the World (UW) We found out that paper is made from trees. We then created our own trees using material from Trees. We mostly used paper and card. Look at our amazing trees!

In Forest School we made our own recipes!
