Homework

 

As you know, over this term we are trying a different approach to homework.   Please find below this half term’s grid, with a selection of activities for you to choose from each week.  Please feel free to bring your work in to class or post it to our google classroom page, to share with your class.   If you do wish to use Google Classroom, you can access this by clicking on the Google Classroom icon on the Home Learning Page and this will then take you to the Wonde log on page. We hope you enjoy the challenges.

 

Autumn 1’s grid asked you to practise the bonds to 5 and you will find the bonds to 10 in this grid.  Please may we ask you to do these with your children.  It is so important that your children know these bonds and it will help them in class immeasurably.  We have also put a sheet with each number family to help with your learning.  Maybe draw your own rainbows and fill them in yourselves.  When your child is writing their numbers (and letters) please ensure that they are forming them correctly.  Thank you.

 

As always, please read with your child every day.  Please also talk about the text with your child and ask them lots of questions about what they have read.  The Year One Common Exception Words, which is a statutory spelling list, is on this page for you. 

 

Last, but not least, when you are buying your next pair of trainers for your child, please consider whether or not they can tie their laces.  If they can – fabulous!  If not, please teach them to … or get trainers with a Velcro strap or the elastic laces J (Please also remember to wear trainers on PE days.)
