Thursday, 29th September 2022 - Meeting Our Year 6 Buddies - We met our Year 6 Buddies for the first time today and spent some time getting to know them.  We shall be spending lunchtimes with our Buddies every other Thursday.

Forest School: Wednesday, 16th November 2022 - We talked about what a shelter is and why it is important for animals to be able to have shelters.  We worked with a partner to build a shelter for a small animals.  We thought about what natural resources could be used to build the shelters.  Here are some photographs of the shelters which we made.  

Art: Thursday, 17th November 2022 - Colour Mixing - We investigated mixing the primary colours using different resources; sponges, spinners, straws.  This project teaches children about basic colour theory by studying the colour wheel and colour mixing. It includes an exploration of primary and secondary colours and how artists use colour in their artwork.

Friday, 16th December 2022 - We performed a 'Winter Dance' to an audience (1B).  We brought together all of the different moves which we have been practising over this half term with Mr. Blackburn in our PE lessons.  We held poses as 'icicles', we pretended to be 'Polar Bears' and 'Penguins' and we used the music to guide us to move  around the Hall.  We moved our arms in time to the music as we made a 'snowstorm' and we pretended to build 'igloos'.  

Friday, 16th December 2022 - Santa visited our school this afternoon and we had the opportunity to go outside to see him on his sleigh.  It was so exciting to be able to talk to him and he asked us what we would like him to bring us for Christmas.
