"We are part of God's family. We follow the way of Jesus by loving, learning and doing our best."

Autumn Term 1 - The Christian Family

Sacrament of Baptism

In class, we read and discussed what happens when we receive the Sacrament of Baptism.

We then acted it out, before writing a retelling in our books.

For homework, children researched their Baptism and recorded it. They were invited to bring in a picture from their Baptism and retell what they learned about their Baptism to the class.

Month of the Holy Rosary

This week we went into our Forest School for our collective worship. We said a decade of the rosary. Our prayer leaders held up large 'beads' to help guide us.

'A-Cross the World' - Whole School Project

This term, our whole school project was to look at different crosses from around the world and to discuss what the cross means to us as Catholics. Year 3 were asked to look at crosses from the Middle East.

First, we discussed what the cross means to us.

We then went to the forest and found sticks to create our own special cross.

The three crosses from the Middle East that we looked at are:

the Palm Cross, St Andrew's Cross and the Jerusalem Cross.
