Religion

At the start of the Autumn term, the children all reflected on the past school year and the school year ahead and then wrote a prayer for our class prayer tree.

Our RE books are the most important books that we write in at school and so the children have taken great care, and time, to design and sew beautiful front covers for them to remind us of this.

The Kingdom of God

Our first topic this term is The Kingdom of God. We have learnt that God's Kingdom is not a place that is sign-posted nor can be found on any map. Instead the Kingdom of God is 'in the midst of us': it is spiritual and it is in our hearts. We can show that we are part of God's Kingdom by our actions and words: we must try to live by the Kingdom Values of: hope, love, peace, forgiveness, courage, faith, freedom & goodness. We wrote acrostic poems to remind us of the meaning of the Kingdom Values.

Go Green For Cafod!

Here is the whole class wearing something green. We raised money for Cafod by bringing in £1 on Friday and donating items to the food bank which helps those less fortunate within our school and local community.
