Swipe contentGood morning, everyone!
First of all, how exciting it is to have a snowfall before Christmas!
A nice, relaxing start to the day but we do have some tasks for you to complete below:
You can upload photos to Google Classroom or if you can't access that site, then you can email any documents or photos to your class teacher:
mgreener@sphoward.herts.sch.uk
agriffiths@sphoward.herts.sch.uk
We look forward to seeing what you all get up to today! make the most of it.
English - 'Stuck in the Snow' Story
Imagine you are at home and you have an important event to get to today which you CANNOT miss!
Maybe it's an appointment, a special birthday, a test at school, etc.
Suddenly, the snow starts to come down thick and fast and you soon find that you cannot even open the door!
How do you feel?
Where are you?
What are you going to do?
We would like you to type out a short story (more than half a page but less than 2 pages) about your predicament.
Include:
Your font cannot be larger than 14pt either so don't change it to very large, thank you!
Art Challenge - Beast Creator
Your challenge is to create a beast sculpture from snow. It can be any size you like, but it must have a head, a thorax and an abdomen.
It can be a sculpture of a real beast or one from your imagination.
You can use sticks, leaves and stones to add legs, mandibles, compound eyes and a proboscis.
Why not look these terms up (mandibles, compound eyes, proboscis) and tell us what they mean?
We are looking forward to seeing photographs of this task. If this is not possible, make a quick sketch.
Have fun.
Wrap up warm!
