WALT: Describe the setting of the Tin Forest.
On the video link below for the Tin Forest, listen up to ‘it was a forest just the same’ (1:44).
Does the story match what you predicted the old man's idea might be?
What clues were there in the text that this is what would happen?
Look at the picture below. Look really closely at the image and note down what you can see.
Then write a description of what you see using commas.
I can see a rusty tin tiger, a sleeping tucan and a shiny lizard scurrying up the tin tree.
In Guided Reading this week we will be looking at Part 2 of While I Am Sleeping. This has been allocated to you on Bug Club.
Please find today's worksheet below:
WALT: Explore what children eat and how they get each type of food into their bodies.
WALT: regroup through hundreds.
Please use the information sheet to help explain what regrouping through hundreds is.
This lesson is about exchanging 1 hundred into 10 tens, so that it easier to subtract 10 from the number. (examples on the information page).
WALT: Know what STEP is and create a passing game.
Focus of this lesson is Space.
Make up your own passing game. You will need to develop a passing game with a ball, Frisbee or balloon etc. You can choose what area it should be played in. What equipment can you use to show what space you are working in? E.g. cones, spots, throw-down lines.
