W/C 02.10.23

English - This week we have been poets. We worked in pairs to write a sentence with rhyming words. We then read our sentences to the class creating a group poem. We put all our sentences together to make a class poem. Later in the week we had a webinar with the poet Simon Mole, we created our own version of his Herd poem.

Maths - This week we have been comparing amounts using more than, fewer than language. Organising amounts into rows makes it easier to compare.

Computing and History - In computing we were practicing using the track pad to click and drag. We linked our computing to history, moving the stages of life pictures to the correct position on the timeline. We also used a paint program to paint a flower.

Art - We created portraits using collage, a collage is when you stick or join materials together.

Religious Education - We have been thinking about our responsibility to look after God's world. We thought about how to look after the world then wrote asking God to help us care for the worldand thanking him for what he created.
