Religious Education

As May is dedicated to Mary our Mother, Catholics are asked to pray to her and praying the rosary is very important.  When we say the rosary we also use it as a time to think about the important events in the life of Jesus and Mary, these make up the Mysteries of the Rosary.

Task

What are the  Mysteries of the Rosary? Can you find out and then choose one of them to draw or write about.

The pack below may help you.

Remember to send in your picture of the rosary you created for last week's task. House points for the best efforts.

Maths

Go to the White Rose website to watch the video clips before you do each lesson.

This week is Summer Term Week 2 (w/c 27th April) - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-4/ scroll to the bottom of the page to find the correct week.

We are still looking at decimals, and thinking about money.

English

This is the last week of the booklet you have been using. This week you will....

Be looking at a non-fiction text about using less plastics.

Using persuasive writing.

Challenge:  Can you list all the different plastics that you use in your home and think of any ways that you could cut down on them, for example using soap instead of bottles of shower gel.

English resources

Spelling

Please go onto Spellzone and spend some time working through your own Course Pathway, this will help to improve your spelling, try to do at least one unit.

We would like to see everyone doing this please.

Reading

Please log on to Bugclub and read at least one book, completing all the quizzes that go with it. It is worth remembering that Bugclub will only move you up to the next colour band if you are scoring 80% or more in the quizzes.

We know that many of you are reading your own books at home, but this week we would like to see everyone read at least one Bugclub book and answer the questions. some people have not read any Bugclub books yet, so we will be checking that everyone has had a go this week.
