Reading
In Guided Reading this week we will be looking at Chapter 3 of Escape from Black Mountain. This has been allocated to you on Bug Club.

WALT- explore the role of plants in agriculture.
This week we are going to think about plants that we eat. Then we are going to look at why certain foods grow better in different biomes/climates than others.
Activity 1-
You need to draw a table (as underneath) and complete it with different foods we can and can't grow in the UK (use slide 11 for your foods to fill the table).

Activity 2-
You need to complete the table 'Plants of the World'. Filling out what the food is, what type of plant it is and where it comes from. You may need to use the 'World Map' and 'Climate Map' to help. Then you need to annotate on the world map where the foods are from.
This week you need to go and collect items to that can be used to make your own insect hotel! You can get as creative as you like and it would be great for you to email us your pictures or put them on the blog!
