Well done all of you who are keeping up with your home learning. Remember if you don't get something finished one week, you can always carry on with it the next week. Are you still learning your times tables and practicing your spelling on Spellzone? Lots of us have found more time to read.....what books have you read that you would recommend to a friend? Tell us on the class blog, you may even win a prize!
Have a good week and be helpful and kind to others around you

Maths
This week our maths carries on from last week, thinking about fractions. The videos are very important because it can be quite a challenge to do the worksheets without any teaching input, so make sure you watch the video, pause it and listen to parts of it again if you find something hard to understand.
We have been doing fractions in class too.
Please remember to keep practicing your timetables, that is something you can easily achieve at home, so you are raring to go in Year 5.
English
This week we are looking at Week 7 in the workbook.
Read the chapter of Seven Ghosts again and have a go at answering the questions.
Write about why Dr Syrus put a curse on the mirror.
Grammar & spelling work - There is also a Spellzone task using this week's words.
This week's Pobble 365 picture is based around 'Animal Airlines'.
There is a lot to think about in the questions, can you find out the positives and negatives of having zoos and write a balanced argument. We have learnt how to organise this (think back to our class work on Alice in Wonderland, when we wrote a balanced argument about whether or not she should drink the potion.) You need to write reasons for and against and a conclusion.
Religious Education
After Jesus ascended into heaven to return to his Father, it was important that his message was still spread here on Earth. Some very special people, changed their ways and began to spread the Word of God, this week we are thinking about Saul, who we know as Paul. Look at the powerpoint and then read then passage in the Bible Act 9:1-19 (you will be able to find it online also.) Then use the key words and phrases on the drawing of Saul and carefully colour it. Please send us a photo of your work, or upload on the blog.
Art and Creative
Ssshhh, next Sunday is Father's Day and we thought we could make a card for Dad's/Grandad's or someone important in our life.
This link is the step by step instructions for how to make the card in the picture.
