Hello Year 2,

Tasks for Week Beginning: 20th April 2020
R.E - Eastertide
Read p68 and p69 – Jesus is Alive.
This is a very happy time because Jesus who died on the corss on Good Friday, rose to new life on Easter Sunday.

Task 1 –
Reading
It is very important to continue with your reading at home.
Remember there are lots of books on Bug Club.
Task 1 - Complete a reading paper over the week.
(If you have finished the papers complete task 2.)
Task 2 - Comprehension: Rainforest.
Spellings
The Suffixes –ment, -ful and –ness.
What is a suffix? 2hp if you can remember!
Spelling list:
enjoyment, sadness, careful, playful, happiness and cheerful
Practise your spellings using the look, say, cover, write and check method.
Choose 2 or 3 spellings and write a sentence for each.
See below for a word search and a puzzle that match this weeks spellings.
Writing Task
This week you could write an informal letter to a family member. Decide with an adult who you would like to write too. Have fun writing your letter you might want to include a colourful rainbow or drawing to cheer up your family member! You could also send one to your teacher and post it to the schools address.
Plan your letter with an adult.

World Habitats
Read through the slides and discuss.
Choose one of the habitats – Rainforest, Ocean, Desert or Arctic.
You can research some facts about this habitat.
You can find out more information by look in books or using the internet.
Draw and label the plants and animals that live in your habitat.
Write a description of what it is like to live there.
PE -
Exercise with Joe Wicks at 9am each morning.
Don't forget your daily mile.
Enjoy a walk with your family once a day!
Create your own exercise routine.
Art
Draw or paint a picture of your favourite animal from your chosen habitat (science).
