Take a look at some of our recent photos.
Swipe contentGood morning, homeschoolers!
Another week of work and we bet you just can't wait to get stuck into it!
We are encouraging the children in school to blog at least once a week so that there is some sort of communication between home and here. Post photos of any home learning you have completed too. You can use your webcam if you are using a laptop.
We will be getting in touch with you very soon so keep up with the work as we have noticed some absences on Spellzone, MyMaths and Bug Club recently.

Monday: decimals as fractions

Click on the link below and you will find 5 lessons (one per day) for each genre:

Read your books on Bugclub and complete the tasks.
Here is the Guided Reading task for the week- The Lighthouse.

Looking at Islam again and learning about Muhammad and how he received the Qur'an.
Watch this BBC clip:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z9b9jxs
and read the text document below. These sources will tell you who Muhammad is and how the Qur'an came to be.
You are complete a storyboard (see example below) using the eight most important parts from the text. Each box will have one piece of information and an illustration to go with it.
Science:
This week we are testing to see if custard is a liquid.
You will be using your knowledge of solids, liquids and gases to classify and explore custard, investigating its unusual properties to try and define its state.
Please see the investigation below:
History:
This week, we are looking at hieroglyphics and the Rosetta Stone. Here is a link to explain more about it:
http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/egypt/rosetta.htm
Make a poster explaining what the Rosetta stone is and its importance.
We would then like you to click on the link below:
https://www.natgeokids.com/uk/discover/history/egypt/hieroglyphics-uncovered/
And, using the papyrus made from last week, use the hieroglyphic alphabet that is halfway down the page to write your name in hieroglyphs and colour them in. You can search for another hieroglyphic alphabet example to show you more detail if you wish.
