We will be setting weekly work for you to do on MyMaths. Make sure you complete it as we will be checking next week! Also, there is TT Rockstars, which we know most of you have been using.
Spelling
Please work through the activities on your Course Pathway on SpellZone. If you want to participate in a whole school spelling competition, Miss Hughes is doing one at the same time each day via SpellZone. Check the school website for details.
Reading
Do not forget to log in to your Active Learn Bug Club Account and catch up on your reading. Some of you have read lots of books already but most of you have not even logged in yet! If you have a library card, you can download the BorrowBox app and read books found within your library without having to leave your home!
Guided Reading
Find the link below to this week's guided reading task. If you are unable to print it out then just write the answers in your home learning books or on a piece of lined paper.
English/Topic
We would like you to write your own poem based on the 'Blitz'. Please see below for a PowerPoint on the Blitz and links to different websites that show a variety of poems. Some are written by KS2 children and are based on the Blitz.
There is also some information about different poetic techniques as revision.
Think about:
*effective vocabulary
*poetic techniques
*the type of poem you will write.
Once you have planned your poem, then write out your first draft. You should edit it afterwards.
You may want to write a poem using personification, a calligram, an acrostic poem or a Haiku.
Science
We would like you to use the website links (see below) to:
a) research facts on a healthy diet and lifestyle;
b) create a TV advert page that highlights the impact of diet, exercise and a healthy lifestyle on the human body.
Present this as either a word document or an A4 poster.
Art/DT
If you have any paint/charcoal/pastels/playdough at home, recreate or sketch your own model of the human heart. Don't forget to take a photo of it, you could email us the final product!
Please see below for the resources/links to home learning for w/c 30/03/20.
Good luck!
Grey SATs practice papers
Please use the mark schemes below to self-mark your work. Did you improve your score from last week's Red papers?
