W/C 4th May 2020

May already !

Dear Year 4

Wow! Where did April go....?  We know some of you have been saying how much you miss you friends and family while we have all been staying safe at home, but it could have been so much worse. We have had some fantastic weather in April and the days are getting longer with light evenings, spring is here and summer is on it's way. Imagine if we had all been stuck indoors in the cold dark months before Christmas.....

Hopefully we will get a chance to have a quick chat with you all this week when we ring to say hello. Think about what you have been up to so you can tell us. wink

Religious Education

May is the month of  Mary, Our Lady.  Catholics are asked to pray a decade of the rosary each day, and many Catholic families will create a Mary Altar in their home, you may have seen the one the children at school created.  This might be something that you could do for your family at home, see the resources below for ideas.

Your challenge this week is to make your own rosary, or decade of the rosary. You can be as creative as you like, there are lots of ideas online, you could make your own beads or you could even make an edible rosary. Send in your pictures and we will post the best ideas on the blog.

Write and decorate a prayer that we could say throughout the month of May.

We are using White Rose maths again this week and it follows on from the last couple of weeks.

The lessons have videos, so watch them first and no cheating by looking at the answers before you have a go!

This week's lessons are from Summer Term week 1 w/c 20th April  - so don't look at the wrong week for the videos!!

You may need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the tab for this week.

Week 3 from the workbook.

This week you will:

Answer some questions about the chapter

Think about an animal & what it might be like if if lived like a human !!

Complete some grammar and spelling tasks.

This is a bit of fun if you are trying to imagine animals doing human things!
