The Diary of a Spider
‘The Diary of a Spider’ is our story for this week.
If you have the story book at home read that.

Speaking and Listening
Using a big spider web (picture attached) give your child instructions they have to follow to put spider in correct place.
Write some sentences about the facts you have learnt about the spider in the story.

This week we are being thankful for the lots of people that help to look after the church for us.
Read the story and share the pictures on the PowerPoint. Discuss how people help look after the church and why this is important.
Thank you cards (for the people who help the church)
Write a prayer of thanks giving
On the word ‘thank you’ write the people who help in church and what they do.
Art and Design
Using a paper plate, carefully cut a big hole out of the middle. Then using a hole punch and string, children create a spiders web, and a spider to go with it.
Please try and read some Phonics Bug books - We can see who has been reading them, some of you have been working very hard! At least 3 books a week is ideal.
