Year 5 Home Learning
Good morning, children!
Here is this week's home learning, should you find yourself having to stay at home for a prolonged period of time.
You MUST complete all the work provided and either upload to the class blog OR email the work to your class teacher:
Use the email to get in touch with us with any questions or problems.
Maths - see MyMaths for your work. If you don't have a MyMaths login then please email your teacher and we will send it out to you.
Look at the picture of the old man who lives in the small house on the windswept hill.
Look carefully and make a list of anything unusual or something you want to question. What stands out to you?
What do you think the man is doing? What sort of a personality do you think he has? Make sure you justify your reasons ( I think the old man is ..... because...)
Your task is to research three different crosses: Egyptian cross, African crucifix and Ethiopian cross. Choose one of these crosses to research on the internet. We will use your research to produce a display in the hall.
Choose a planet from our Solar System and find out facts about it. We would also like you to produce a piece of artwork based around it.
Maths - see MyMaths
English - See Spellzone and complete the LSCWC section. If you have forgotten your login then please email your class teacher.
Writing: Imagine that you were the old man in the picture from yesterday's lesson. How do you think he feels about living amongst 'other people's rubbish'?
Write a paragraph as if you were the old man and your feelings about this situation.
Continue your research on the cross that you chose from yesterday's lesson.
Continue your planet research and complete art work.
Keep up-to-date with what's happening.Swipe content
