Reading
In Guided Reading this week we will be looking at Chapter 2 of Escape from Black Mountain. This has been allocated to you on Bug Club.

WALT: Set up an investigation to find out what plants need to grow well.
WALT- describe and understand how climate zones and biomes affect plant adaptations.
Activity 1-
Now you know about the different biomes and climates, this week you will be looking at how plants have adapted from some of the biomes. You need to research one of the plant adaptations to research (activity sheet to use in attached underneath). There is some information you can use underneath to help with this research.
Activity 2-
Now you understand more about the biomes and climates and how they have influenced the adaptions of different plants. You need to now create your own plant. Think about;
This weeks art you need to collect things from nature: leaves, sticks, stones, feathers, flowers, etc. Either from your garden or from your daily walk outside. You then need to get a plain background or design a background to link to your picture. You can then create a pictures of; a landscape, a person, an animal, anything! The ideas below are examples of the sort of thing you can do..
