Reading

 

Today we would like your children to read ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ to you.  They should understand the beginning, middle and end of the story.   Tomorrow we will be writing the story with a different ending, so today, please discuss alternative endings with your children. 

 

For example, Little Red Riding Hood might say, “What big hands you have.”  The ending then might change if the wolf answered, “All the better to hug you with” and they hugged and lived happily ever after. 

 

Another could be “Shall I paint your fingernails?” so they chose a colour and became friends, etc.
