Swipe contentThIn literacy this week we read the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. It is a traditional tale, that means it is from a long time ago but we still hear the story today. We using our sounding out, robot arms skills to write labels for things in the story.
This term we will be learning about minibeasts and this week Zoolab came to visit. It was very exciting to see, touch and hold some of the animals. We were taught alot of interesting facts about the minibeasts we met. We had fun making minibeasts and sharing what we had learnt. Some children even wrote some interesting minibeast facts.
In maths we have been counting up to 20, the children are getting very good at this and most were able to make a collection of 20 things in the classroom. A few children still get mixed up with the numbers between 10 and 20, missing some important numbers out or not saying 'teen' clearly - you could practise this at home.
In Forest School the children looked for signs of spring, there seems to be alot more signs that Spring has sprung.
In Religious Education we were thinking about the the sadness of the the death of Jesus and the joy of his resurrection. The children were happy to share the good news that 'Jesus is alive!'.
The PE lesson was all based on the word 'around'.
Our Rainbow Challenges this week were:-
to go on a bug hunt
to make a tower of 15
to label a bean plant
The bug hunts were very popular especially on the sunny days!
"We are part of God's family. We follow the way of Jesus by loving, learning and doing our best."
