This week we read a story called, 'Rosie's Walk'. We found it very funny. After reading the story we talked about what happened. We drew a map of Rosie's walk, trying to remember the order. We used our knowledge of phonics to write labels for our pictures.
In maths we have been thinking carefully about the number 7. We looked at different ways of making 7. We know that 5 and 2 more makes 7 altogether. We also found other ways to make 7 for example 6 and 1 or 3 and 4. It is important that the children are confident knowing some number bonds. It is a good idea to practise this at home.
This week in our special time with God, We heard a story about a little boy sharing 5 loaves and 2 fishes with Jesus and Jesus using it to feed the crowd. We thought about times we share. We then made bread and shared what we had made with a friend. (We also took some bread home to share.)
Our Rainbow Challenges this week were;
To zip up our coats.
Make 7 using a dice frame
To draw a picture and write a ' I am ' sentence.
"We are part of God's family. We follow the way of Jesus by loving, learning and doing our best."
Awards we have achieved so far.
