Week 10

Week 10 - In Every House, on Every Street

This week we read the ‘In Every House, on every Street.’ We have been thinking about our own houses and the different rooms in the house. What do we like to do with our families in our houses? Our Religious Education was about helping one another - we read the story of The Good Samaritan and talked about who and how we can help at school and at home. We helped each other to make jam sandwiches. In maths we have been comparing quantities and making sure that it is equal / fair. We practised by sharing out some chocolate buttons. We have begun to learn about the Christmas story - the children dressed up as the characters to make a stable scene for us to put on display in the hall. AS you can imagine, some children were better at standing still than others!

This week we have been focusing on purposeful play.
