Week 11 - Signs of Spring

Ready, Steady, Grow - The Tadpole's Promise

This week we read a story called, 'The tadpole's promise.' We stopped before the end of the story and had to think what might happened next. The children drew a picture of what they thought would happened next and shared the end of their story. The ending was a little unexpected!

We looked at life cycle of a frog and named the different stages of a frogs growth. We enjoyed playing in the frog pond.

In maths we have been learning about doubles. We found doubles on dominoes. We were able to describe a double; 4 is made of 2 and 2, 2 and 2 makes 4.

In forest school we searched for signs of Spring, we drew pictures of signs of Spring we spotted.

In our special time with God, we listened to the story of Easter. We thought carefully about what happened in the story, some children drew pictures from the story, coloured stain glass windows of the cross, built crossed and tombs and role played the story.

This weeks Rainbow Challenges were;

To draw a picture of a friend and write a 'He/She is ...' sentence.

To make a double ladybird.

To work with a friend to make an butterfly with equal wins.
