Week 12 - Signs of Spring

Ready, Steady, Grow - Signs of Spring andThe Easter Story

This week we read Spring poems. We thought about what we see and hear in Spring. We then had a go at writing our own poems.

In maths we have been sorting and classifying and learning all about odd and even.

This week we finished learning all the Phase 3 sound which means we have a term to consolidate and become confident both reading and writing with the digraph and trigraph sounds. We will learn some more tricky words next term.

We also focused on The Easter story, we drew pictures from the story and talked about the story. We finished the week with a lovely Stations of the Cross service.

Our Rainbow challenge involved decorating an egg, making a cross and sorting into odd and even.

Have a fantastic Easter break, remember to keep the reading going, practise any sounds and tricky words they don't know and have lots of fun.
