Week 3 - Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Traditional Tales - Goldilocks and the Three Bears

This week we started the week with maths learning and forest school. In forest school we made bug hotels, we hope lots of minibeasts come to visit.

In maths we were looking at numbers that are 5 and a bit more. We had fun representing then and saying '7 is 5 and 2 more' '6 is 5 and 1 more.'

We listened to Goldilocks and the Three Bears and then had a go at writing sentences in speech bubbles. We also cooked some porridge and made predictions about what would be the most popular topping, we thought sugar but it was actually syrup.

In our special time with God we heard a story about Jesus appearing to his friend in a garden. She was very happy he was alive. We made Easter gardens and drew pictures of the story and thought about how Mary was feeling.

We ended the week by celebrating the King's Coronation, we had a street party (inside due to the weather) and a picnic lunch with our buddies. We made lots of red, white and blue things as well as fabulous crowns.

As we have been so busy we have decided to let the Rainbow Challenge run over two weeks to give everyone a chance to complete it.

Remember that we have a Bank Holiday again on Monday and we will see the children again on Tuesday.
