This week started a little differently. The children's grown-ups were invited to stay and read and watch a collective worship. Thank you to all who made it, the children loved having you here and enjoyed engaging with you. They were also very proud to share what we do in our special time with God.
Our traditional tale this week has been, 'The Gingerbread man'. During literacy we had a go at writing what the Gingerbread man says in the story. Later in the week we had fun making gingerbread playdough and drawing pictures of gingerbread people.
In maths we have been thinking about the order of numbers 1 - 10 very carefully and using positional language like, next to or between to describe where a number should be.
In forest school we made wands by wrapping wool around a stick, this is a lot trickier than it sounds and required some good team work.
This weeks word in PE was under, we had lots of fun trying to get everyone to sit 'under' the parachute.
In our special time with God we thought more about Jesus and the gift of peace he brought to his friends. We made got creative making doves.
This week was also a week to think about wellbeing, we did a fun yoga every morning and had relaxing music after lunch. We also got to show our Year 5 buddies a book we enjoy and they read it to us.
"We are part of God's family. We follow the way of Jesus by loving, learning and doing our best."
Awards we have achieved so far.
