This week we had the story 'The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water'. We thought it was a funny story because it turned out he wasn’t a crocodile at all, he was a dragon. We thought about how everyone has something they are good at. We drew pictures and talked about we are good at.
In our Religious Education we continued to think about the fact that God made us and made each one of us special. Some of made fabulous badges to show we are special.
We talked about woodland animals and who might live in the forest. We also thought about what their homes are called. Then in forest school we had a go at making animal homes. We made sure the animals would be warm, dry and safe.
In maths we have been thinking about 4 and patterns we can make with four. Some were a little tricky especially trying to used positional language to talk about what we had made.
On Wednesday Reception attended their first Mass at school and sat very well - we were all very proud of them. We also have learnt some more sounds and our first tricky word ‘to’. Learning to form the letter k is a challenge but the children worked really well.
It’s been a wonderful first half term, we have played and learnt well. Have a lovely half term!
"We are part of God's family. We follow the way of Jesus by loving, learning and doing our best."
Awards we have achieved so far.
