Week13

Harold and the Purple Crayon

This week has been a short week but we still managed to pack lots of learning in. We read ‘Harold and the Purple Crayon’. Harold goes on a journey creating what he sees by drawing with a purple crayon. We worked in pairs to draw our own journey and labelled with initial sounds.

In Forest School the children were building dens  - you can see in the photographs that both classes went to the forest together and had lots of fun.

This week in our maths we have been composing and decomposing sets of 3,4 and 5. The children are getting very good at this and we are using the language of parts and the whole. 2 and 3 make 5 altogether.

In Religious Education we have been continuing to listen to, recall and retell the Nativity story.

we have been creative in our learning through play, using some of our learning from previous weeks for example patterns.
