What I like about me

This week we read What I like about me, the children spoke about the different things they like about themselves, pointing it out to their peers. Noticing our different featured and body parts, the children used their senses to explore some things; lemon and orange to taste, cornflour to touch, I spy sheet to see, instruments to listen to and herbs to smell. They also got to paint a self portrait and cut and tick a person together.

In maths, we focussed on the number 1. Learning what it looks like, how to count it and how to write it. There were some different activities where the children could practice these skills.

Outside, we made some chalk paints and the children decorated some things they found like fencing, logs and the shed. It looked very colourful outside.
