Week 12 Let's build a house

This week we read Let's build a house, we looked at different types of housing and then created our own using lego, stickle bricks, wooden blocks and materials in the outside area. We discussed what things we have on our house and what it is made from - do we think it'll keep us warm? Will it be waterproof?

We went to Forest school and read the story Leaf man,  the children collected leaves and created their own leaf man back in the classroom. There was lots of exploring and being brave whilst navigating through the forest. 

In maths we explored the number 3, what it looks like, how to count it and how we write it.

The children were very interested in exploring colours, we did lots of colour mixing seeing what colours we can create when mixing blue, yellow and red.
