Tree: seasons come, seasons go

This week we read Tree: Seasons come, seasons go, we looked at the 4 seasons across the year and spoke about the changes we noticed in each season. The children cut and stick each season under its name, dressed up for different seasons and explored the colours experienced in each season: oranges, reds, pinks, greens, white.

In maths we looked at the composition of number 5. What different ways can we create 5, what would it look like if we shared 5? The children had a go at doing this practically in the environment.

In Forest school, we spent the time exploring, encouraging the children to try different routes, climb over trees and jump down from logs and stumps. It was very messy but very fun!
