Week 2 The foggy foggy forest

This week we read the story The Foggy foggy forest, the children had to guess what picture is under the shadow shape. We also listened out for the rhymes in the story and thought of anymore we could add on.

In maths we looked at 2d and 3d shapes, talking about their properties and how we can identify them. For a fun challenge we used a box and torch to give the shapes a shadow and had to guess what the shape was. They were very good at this!

In Forest school the children took their own photographs of the things they liked and then drew some. There were some lovely pictures of flowers and leaves they found. 

We've had lots of fun outside with the weather turning nicer, the children have enjoyed the back garden and creating structures with the tyres and wooden shapes.
