Remembrance Day

We held our Remembrance Service and held a minute's silence at 11am. The entire school made a poppy for the hall display. Inspired by the ceramic poppies that lined the Tower of London, KS1 and KS2 children each made their own outdoor poppy, which had a prayer for peace, written by them and tagged onto the stem. These were then laid out near the entrance to school. We had made some extra poppies for parents to purchase and write their own prayer to attach and plant with the rest of them and all of the money raised was for the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

We pray for peace in our world and the lit candles will remind us of all the innocent children killed in war.
