Rainbow - Little Red Riding Hood

Our story topic for this week has been Little Red Riding Hood. We read the book togehter, and then retold it as a class, acting it out. The children enjoyed being the wolf! Some of the children have been weaving baskets for Little Red Riding Hood, and have made 'Get Well Soon' cards for Grandma.

Our Drawing Club book has been Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children are showing resilience in their simple sentence writing. We are trying hard to remember capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.

In Maths our focus has been the composition of 5 and numbers that are 5 and some more. We know that there are 5 fingers on our hand, and we can use our fingers to help find the missing number.

We visited St Peter's Church as part of our RE topic. We had a look around, looking at the special parts of the building. We stayed for Mass, and some of us received a blessing by the Father. Back at school, we continued to speak about the community of the church.

In Forest School, we built bug hotels. Some of the 'hotels' had their first visitors, we wondered how many visitors it would have whilst we are gone.
