The Three Billy Goats Gruff

  This week, our Topic and Drawing Club book is The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We will be exploring the different characters and using our creativity to design and build bridges for the goats to cross the river.

In Phonics, we will continue to recap our digraphs and trigraphs, while in Drawing Club we will focus on developing independence when writing simple sentences.

In RE, we will continue learning about the church, with a focus on the parish and how Jesus wants it to be a welcoming community. In Maths, we will be revisiting numbers 6 to 9 using the “5 and a bit” structure, as well as reinforcing that 10 can be made in different ways, including through structured arrangements such as ten frames.

In PE, the children will be exploring movements using big and small actions.
